Did you post some other miles to the account, to get the 1000 miles you need some activity on the account.

You need activity on the account to earn the other 500

How about "e-rewards?" Is it OK to speculate that this could count as activity?

I sent an email asking about my other 500 miles, no response so far and it's been about a week.

I have resurrected this thread, rather that create a new one, as this is a similar promo to the previous one.

Updated the first post appropriately.

Etihad is giving 1000 miles to all new accounts.

You get 500 miles for signing up, and 500 miles for your first account activity, which could be a transfer from Amex membership rewards, for example.

Promo runs until 31st of August 2015. Account activity needs to have happened by this date to get the 2nd batch of 500 miles.
