Etihad is giving 1000 miles to all new accounts (again !)

You get 500 miles for signing up, and 500 miles for your first account activity, which could be a transfer from Amex membership rewards, for example.

Promo runs until 31st of August 2015. Account activity needs to have occurred by this date to get the 2nd batch of 500 miles.

To get the sign-up bonus you need one activity until end of March.

I just transferred 1 point from my HSBC Premier Rewards account - hope this counts as activity and they credit the 1k. Will report back!

Is that the standard offer - and we just get a 1k bonus if done in March?

I think their usual complimentary bonus is 500. The promo gives you additional 500. But if you won't do any activity until 31 March, you will not get neither of them.

Do you receive a base ffp card from etihad? I would really like one that says Lord. I'm a simple man.

I only got a bonus of 500 miles. Should I email them and ask for the other 500?+
