FREE: "Loosing My Virginity"

You can get a free copy of Richard Branson's book "Loosing My Virginity" by filling out a short questionairre/survey at:

http://www.itn.net/cgi/get?itn/air/virgin/survey

You do need to have a US address though...

Catman May 18, 1999 1:40 pm

I filled out this survey two months ago and I still have not received his book yet.

Maybe I'll fill out the survey again... Thanks for the link Burkey.

Randy Petersen May 18, 1999 2:23 pm

Good info. While I've read the book, I linked over to get another. It will make a great door prize for the Party in Paradise for Flyer Talkers in November, though most of those attending will probably already find this post and get their own.....books, miles, hey, we'll take em' all.

geo1004 May 18, 1999 2:50 pm

Thanks Burkey. I just filled out the form and at the end it said that the book should be shipped "six to eight weeks from today." That means Catman will get a copy tomorrow and another one on or around the 4th of July. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

I filled out the form a few months back and finally got the book in the mail a couple of days ago. It's a very interesting read - especially so since it outlined Branson's behavior at Stowe - the public school I went to in England.

wanderlust May 18, 1999 4:47 pm

Yea...groovy, baby.

I would recommend this book - it's a really interesting read. Take the 30 seconds that are required to fill in Virgin Atlantic's on-line survey!

burkey Jul 23, 1999 7:34 pm

geo, Catman, and others-- have any of you gotten the book yet? I haven't...

shadow Jul 23, 1999 10:18 pm

I tried to access the site and it says the offer is expired...

Four months, no book.

I guess I"m not missing anything vital that twit said.

I can wait for the movie starring Kenneth Branaugh and Geri Hallowell (the Spice Girl Formerly known as Ginger) as one of Branson's flight attendants.

pgupta011 Jul 24, 1999 1:08 am

I guess I have to admit that I do not know much about him - just curious about the twit remark. What were some of his twitty deeds?

[This message has been edited by pgupta011 (edited 07-24-1999).]

leroy11 Jul 24, 1999 3:59 pm

As I said, you should get it sometime, but it's painfully slow. I think they wait until a certain amount have been requested and then do a special print run which could explain why it takes so long.

Catman Jul 24, 1999 5:19 pm

OMNI for Pgupta011... I feel that Richard Branson is a twit for some of the outlandish ways he goes about promoting his business (dressing in a zoot suit, his wild behavior sometimes, he can be silly.)

That's what I consider twitty ideas.

Yes, people can be silly but there are those like Sir RIchard who get carried away.

I am be in the minority on this.

And there are those on this board who think I'm a TWIT for talking endlessly about my cats and my life, but I have friends who understand, and that's ok.

pgupta011 Oct 22, 1999 6:25 pm

Many months later, I finally got the book in my mail today.

"How I've Survived, Had Fun, and Made a Fortune Doing Business My Way". If thats a twit, I'd rather be a twit.

As of today, I have not lost my VIRGINity either... I hope soon. http://talk.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

Jim_B Oct 26, 1999 5:43 pm

Well, today I sort of lost my VIRGINity: I received an envelope from Virgin Atlantic, with nothing (nothing!) in it. I'm pondering my options at this moment...

Jon Toner Oct 28, 1999 12:18 pm

I just got my paperback version yesterday. I had a meeting last night (Little League elections - important stuff!) and didn't have a chance to start it.

The cover letter mentioned something about a bouchure with "valuable information", but no such brouchure was in the package.

Enjoy the book everybody - after finally receiving it! I really enjoyed reading it - I found it thoroughly interesting it; especially since Branson went to the same English public school as me - although he did not complete it.
