It depends how you use the Avios points. A coast to coast nonstop round trip on AA (such as LAX-BOS) using Avios points will require about twice this many points, and it would only be a good value if LAX-BOS cost way more than $320 round trip, which it may not (during sales). On the other hand, 10 times this many Avios points can be used for a flight in business class on LAN LAX-EZE (Buenos Aires, Argentina), and in that case $1650 for a flight that would cost $3K (only during rare sales), $4k, or maybe even $5k is a better value (though still not any astounding value).

BA Avios is complicated to evaluate value, because its highest value is on shorter nonstops on AA, but how valuable that is to you depends on what your starting airport is and where AA flies nonstop from there and how much those flights cost in dollars and how often they're available on saver awards (you can only use BA Avios when saver awards are available on AA) and whether those are places you actually want to fly on your awards.

Am wondering, if the full amount will be charge to my credit card immediately once I hit "Complete Purchase" button? Or will take sometimes (i.e. within an hour, they send notification that credit card being charged)? Any input will be much appreciated. TQ

Hey guys, I used the previous promo for 8000 Avios in July '14 so I am only 6 months into the current subscription. Think it's possible to renew and get another 12K Avios? I was thinking about switching to a different mag (something more literary) this year but this is a nice offer.
The subscription page states: "Offer available until January 31st 2015 for new subscribers only" but I wonder if the restriction is for new subs only :D Worth a shot?

Anyone tried ordering more than once? I have a good use for some Avios, so I was thinking of donating a couple of subscriptions in addition to my own.

12,000 Iberia miles transfer to avios/ba

Do you need to transfer amex or fly with iberia once the 12,000 have credited your iberia account to transfer to avios/ba?

No. However, your Iberia account has to have been open for at least three months before you can transfer your Avios.

Called Iberia, they said I cannot transfer from Iberia Avios to BA Avios. Anyone know how this is done?

Basically, to transfer from IB to BA, call BA; to transfer from BA to IB, call IB. There is also a way to do it yourself on their websites, but it works very badly.

Is this dead? I thought it was available until January 31, but I'm just seeing a 4,000 Avios offer now.

You can use avios.com as a middleman. Transfer IB to avios.com then transfer avios.com to BA.

This offer was 12k avios in UK but if you cancel the points now get cancelled. I managed to cancel an existing subscription and renew with a new email address. Not seen the points come across to IB yet

Signed up early Jan, at the 6 week point now and no sign of the Avios...
