Anyone got the actual miles in their aadvantage account on AA.com yet?

*raises hand* I have! At least part of them. The 11,000 miles I earned from my first purchase have posted on aa.com. Unfortunately I haven't seen anything from my second (much smaller) purchase, and my email query to Cartera hasn't received a response yet.

Sadly, AA portal does not seem to give points for buying gift cards at meijer (supermarket chain in midwest) :-(:-( |

My order and the correct miles posted on portal a week ago, still nothing on aa.com !!

Only one of my 3 orders is showing up in my eshopping account as pending. I called eBags and was told they could not tell if the promo was in the order. Just sent a message to Cartera.

My smaller order that was missing posted on the shopping portal yesterday, don't know if contacting support with the info helped at all. nothing on aa.com yet.

My second, smaller eBags order has also posted to the portal. Haven't seem the miles over at aa.com yet, but I'm confident they'll get posted over there successfully.
This success certainly has me more inclined to try out the shopping portal in the future! |

FYI, I bought a Tumi bag that I really don't like. I called my local Tumi store and they said they will give me a store credit for the bag, so my spouse can pick out something he likes. Interestingly, the Tumi item was shipped directly from Tumi, with no mention of ebags on the invoice. Any reason to think that returning the bag to Tumi for a store credit will cause the ebag miles to be reversed (they posted in my AA account today)?

I highly doubt you would lose your miles since you're not getting credit on your credit card but a gift card from tumi. |
The points from my second order have also posted at AA. Needless to say, I'm very happy that my need for new luggage happened to coincide with this promotion!

Still nothing here even on the aadvantageshopping site. I've opened up a new case with them again since the existing agent that was assigned to my case never responds.

Ok this is related. So happens that Tumi has now a 20% sitewide sale and all authorized retailers follow suit So EBAGs is reflecting a 20% discount as well ( no coupon needed)
I used my Discover card for the extra points and it has a Price Guarantee within 90 days. Ebags is just 10 days?? I dont want to risk the miles if I file for price rollback with eBags. But not sure if this is the correct avenue or just call Discover and file for a price guarantee I am sure lots of people bought Tumi and have this issue and while the miles are good , 20% refund is even better Thoughts? Suggestions? |
I contacted them and they offered to refund the money. I also can get the money back in the form of reward points (i.e., store credit).
Give the 35 miles per dollar, I'm wondering if I'm not better taking the store credit. Wish I knew whether getting the refund would result in a clawback of some of the points already posted. Store credit seems safe. |

I contacted them today and the offered to "issue a credit of xx.xx". No mention of store credit.
I already took a screenshot of the new price and the chat conversation. If not satisfied that is credit to my card and miles (minus difference is Fair) then I will initiate a Price Guarantee with Discover next week. Up to now I am very pleased with their CS! My advice to all is to take screenshots for the discount goes away on Sunday night and use the chat to document the exchange. |

I tweeted them this morning and got 2 responses today within a couple hours, the first said to wait 4-8 weeks so I told them I'd return the merchandise and buy from a diff. vendor that was cheaper. Their response was that they contacted ebags today and would have an answer for me in a couple days

Any word on yours alpen? I made my purchase on 10/13 just the same and had cartera customer service escalate last Friday. I've had no movement on my ticket this week =|
