I was able to register - thanks OP. I did not get the 1000 points right away. The confirmation screen says to expect points by July 10, 2013.

Thanks! Once I clicked to link to amazon, I didn't see any confirmation on my amazon account.

I was able to link the TY card to my Amazon account and my confirmation page said the same - expect the points by July 10 (no instant 1k points).
