FYI, you can get the instant 1k points if you put the code into the Promotional Code section.

I did this after putting it in the Bonus Registration Code section and linking my Amazon account, got the standard your points will post by July 10th. Just for the heck of it, I then put TYAMCAZON2 in the field in the Promotional Code section and got the 1k instantly. Who knows, maybe we will get another 1k points by July 10th for 2k total!

Nice find! Worked for me. Even if it doesn't double. at least you get immediate confirmation of the points!

Wow, thanks for the tip - that worked! But you do have to first go through the steps by putting it in the Bonus Registration Code section and linking the account, although I'm happy to see the points instantly posted. ^

Yeah, I used to be an eager, daily checker of "Miles Buzz" but now the thread seems to have gone the way of VHS or something. Nice to see this bonus offer!

THis worked for me and I already had a linked card
 
I simply went to Amazon.com first, removed the card from my shop with points section then added it back via this promo. Got the 1,000 instantly.

Thanks, OP -- this worked for me as well just now. Got the points instantly by inputting the code as a Promotional Code.

Same here, except my dates are 6/28 and 7/9.

Just noticed today, but I had this go through twice as well! :)

I also had posting dates of 6/28 and 7/9 for each 1000 TY points.
