There are dedicated TD Aeroplan FT threads

anyway, RFD/GCR has better offers

TD Aeroplan Infinite VISA - 15,000 Welcome Aeroplan miles after 1st purchase + 10K after holding for 90 days. FYF / $70 RFD cashback or $50 GCR cashback. RFD source code = CAqD7. GCR source code = NTrSD

The 90 day thing kills it for me. I don't have 90 days to spare

grandgourmand Mar 15, 2016 3:28 pm

You can't hold a credit card for 90 days? Why not?

AH ok....got it. I haven't applied for this card yet as they denied me an extra 5k points on a Platinum card (which came after holding for 90 days) because I already had another Aeroplan card. I still have both (Prestige and Plat). Who knows...I didn't make a stink.

For those not following the Canadian Amex thread, it appears as if Amex Canada has INCREASED their referral bonuses. :) Good news all around.

Personal Gold: Still 25k
Business Gold: 30k -> 40k
Personal Platinum 50k -> 75k
Business Platinum: 40k -> 75k

The BizGold was always 40K via referral.

Loving the increased AMEX bonuses!

Nice. A bit annoyed, my wife just got the biz plat w/50k bonus (wasn't 40k via referral). Wonder if she can call in to complain to get a few more out of them, as she has been using the card (too much, I'm afraid).

You might be able to match via secure message or calling.

1. Has anyone tried holding mulitple CIBC aerogold business cards at one time?

2. Has anyone tried downgrading the CIBC aerogold business (to say the bizline)?

Personal experience, referred from Plat -> Plat just last week
AMEX said NO to both 75K and 25K referral "matching" basically, boo
That really sucks (even more for the AMEX Plat applicant)

I don't think you want to refer to it as matching, but as a courtesy adjustment. At least that's how it works in the US.

Please keep in mind there is additional discussion about Amex Canada here:
