essxjay:

$4.95 + 16*19.95 = too much money to sneak past my lovely bride, who will look at this as a semester of gymnastics for Caitlin.

While digital remastered sounds terrific, I'm looking for the cheap way out!

Jon....I have the Sci Fi channel....but I don't think the Prisoner is now playing...or at least I couldn't find it. If it IS on I'd be willing to tape.

Venkat, check out the InsideFlyer magazine, August issue on www.webflyer.com. The cover story is "Dialing for Miles". It's just what your looking for.

I already switched both home lines for the 25K mile offer, but I just thought of something -- what about my cell phone? Can I switch my long distance carrier to MCI? Does anyone know? Hmm - this could be another 25K miles.

If you use a cellular provider that allows you to choose your long distance carrier you may do so and earn ff mileage if the carrier allows it from cell accounts.

PrimeCo, Sprint and NexTel do not allow you to choose carriers. AT&T used to, Im not sure if they still do.

Most local phone company cell carriers allow it as they were originally forced to by the FCC

With some carriers you can switch, and some you cannot. I called MCI to ask about switching my cell phone and they said they can check to see if it was eligible. Gave them my cell number, came back and said it was OK. I have AT&T for cell service. Got it switched to MCI for long distance only and have 20k miles posted to date on that line.
Give them a call and ask. Can't hurt.
