I wish people would learn when the millenium actually begins(The next one starts on Jan 1 2001)

Boomer I fail to see how anyone had indicated otherwise.

Boomer, you are absolutely, positively, one-hundred percent correct! I couldn't agree with you more. No one wants to listen to me, though. http://talk.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif

pgupta011, from all indications that I've heard so far, almost everyone seems intent on celebrating the new millenium at the stroke of midnight on December 31, 1999, rather than one year later!

Its certainly anyones prerogative to celebrate about something whenever they want (personally I think that life should be a continous celebration, rather than on artificially delimited points - also many cultures follow different calendars).

It's all a conspiricy to get you to spend big bucks on the millenium twice. Spend it this New years then the travel industry comes out and says "Celebrate the real millenium" next year. Some people will probably just celebrate for an entire year. http://talk.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif
