Some free HHonors Points... maybe
 

Edit: the title should say Hilton Honors points not AAdvantage Points... Sorry.

I saw this targeted offer:

And tried my AAdvantage number which gave me an error. Reading the fine print it says: "If you’re already an HHonors member, please contact Hilton Reservations and Customer Care so your account can be updated to qualify for this offer. Offer is valid for the recipient of this email only and is non-transferable..."

I called Hilton Honors and while they said they weren't able to give me that promotion they did give me 2500 Hilton Honor points (which they said would take a couple weeks to post). Not sure if this would work for others but worth a try.

This was posted on the blogs awhile ago. There's a similar offer for all the major airlines -- US, Delta, American, United, etc. All targeted, but if you call in they'll offer you 2500 points on next stay (some, like the OP, got them immediately). I did it a week or two ago.
