Credit Card not charged
 
Have a interesting situation. My husband just checked in this afternoon for a room I book at the Radisson LAX. The rate was $159. I did a BRG & got it for $77. When he checked in they said his account balance was $0 and he didn't need to pay for the room. They took his card for incidentals only. I assumed my credit card was charge the full amount in advance since it was a BRG rate. I just called my credit card company and they have no authorization from Radisson. I'm a bit concerned that if they don't charge me for the room on accident we will not get the points into his account. So I'm debating whether to call and alert them and ask why my card has not been charge. (Probably will do this)
My gut says....if I don't pay (accident or not) you will not get the points which is only right. Strange huh!

What do you all think I should do? Any ideas would be helpful!

I vaguely remember something like this happening to others last year but I didn't want to dig through last years thread so I thought I'd ask if you any of you have any experience with this.

Happened to others at the same hotel under brg last year. stay was free, but all points posted.

One more thing just to make sure. The bonus points are only for one stay. if you stay the second time in the same chain, under same account you will not get bonus 50K. BUT, you can transfer points between different accounts for free. Did I get this right?

Wow! Guess I should lay low. I shouldn't have to babysit them to collect there money. I did everything by the book. We gave them 2 credit cards -one for registration and 1 at checkin. If they can't figure out how to charge them that is there deal. I'm entitled to the points. Maybe there accounting will find it at some point and bill. Just plain odd!

I'll report back on this if and when the points post and if I'm ever charge.

Are you sure about that?
let's say you stay at a radison on june 1st and june 2nd at same hotel room under same name, you don't get the 50k bonus points because you stayed more than one night?

That's not what he said! He said the 50k bonus only applied to one Radisson stay during the promotional timeframe.....meaning you can only earn it ONCE even if you stay at numerous Radisson hotels. Multiple night stays qualify for the bonus.

topcashback.com problem

I signed up, clicked on link for clubcarlson for the topcashback 10%..booked through club carlson site, added my club carlson membership number when I booked. 20 minutes later.when I called club carlson and said I can't see reservation on my account, CSR said your club carlson number is NOT on reservation. When she added my club carlson membership number, she said credit card info disappeared so I needed to give her credit card info again.

Now reservation appears when i logged onto club carlson but when i logged onto topcashback, it showed I NEVER linked to any merchant....

just a warning for folks...I guess i am out of luck....no 10% cashback

Where are you looking on Topcashback? I noticed that if I close my browser, the history of my visits to other sites disappears the next time I open it up.

Recently Visited Merchants

You do not appear to have clicked through to any of our merchants yet.


I think what I may have done wrong is instead of clicking "activate your account" through topcashback.com link to Radisson, I added my club carlson number on the line that says club carlson membership number? Who knows but if you say after you close the browser, history of my visits to other sites disappear, then where can I find out whether i have been successful or not using topcashback.com link

I'm not familiar enough with topcashback to give you an answer - hopefully someone else can chime in.

Not sure the software would know that you actually purchased something once you left the topcashback site until the merchant informs them.

I've sent two email to CC regarding status match using this email address: [email protected]. No answer. Am I suppose to send more info other than a screenshot of my Priority Club membership card?

I sent one earlier this week. I called today and agent told me that the status matching is taking about 4-5 days right now because of the promo. I'll give it a few more days to see what happens.

they didn't respond to 5 emails i sent 2 days ago. The first reply was "WE ARE NOT ABLE TO OPEN THE LINK which is a total lie and then i emailed again and again but to no avail!

Is it still possible to get the offers or did they hit the limit on the offer anyone know? Was going to see if my parents also wanted to jump on the offer if still possible.
