Did anyone ever get these miles? (I don't have a copy of the T&C's but would have thought they should have posted by now)

nothing here.

Nothing here also!! I got a screenshot of the registration and I might send a msg to the DM customer service!!

I was intending to use their service as soon as my credit with another provider had run out, but it's my principle not to do business with companies that do not honor their offers.. ;)

Nothing posted for me

Nothing for me either. Will send a DM.

Nothing here either.. The FAQ says it takes 8-10 weeks for credit to your DM account, we're just a few days shy of the 10 week mark. I just submitted a claim via the shopping mall. Freecause, if you have a lurker here.. posting everyone's points who got in on this deal is an opportunity for your company to shine when your competition is looking pretty bad.

Why before the posting period has passed?

Nikolaos Sep 25, 2011 3:57 am

I guess because the offer was pulled off, suddenly, a few days after it became available..

That doesn't invalidate the posting period. When it passes, if the miles haven't posted, contact them and state that they are overdue. Hassling them before they are even supposed to have posted will just tie up resources needlessly, and they may even reply "wait for the posting period to pass".

You're right, I jumped the gun a few days of the 70 day mark. The "8" in the 8-10 weeks is well past however. Shopping malls aren't exactly the model of reliability at this point. The offer had been pulled quickly, and no one has posted any confirmation of receiving miles. I'm pretty sure this wouldn't be the first time people would have to ask for miles that were supposed to be posted automatically by a shopping mall. Call me crazy, but something that is largely automated by computers shouldn't take 10 weeks.

The delays aren't because the computers take so long to compute. They are purposeful waiting periods to allow financial transactions to settle (including possible returns/refunds), to give a buffer for errors to be caught, and that sort of thing.

I'm not insisting that these miles will post as promised by the 10 week mark, but I still think it's wise to wait until they've actually violated the offer before proceeding to complain.

I actually made a purchase after singing up for an account. I contacted US and they said that I have to wait until Sep 30 and it will be escalated after that.

Why would you contact them before the posting period has passed? Did you expect them to treat it like a crisis given that the weeks stated in the T&Cs hasn't yet elapsed?
