How long before these miles actually post in your AA account?

LOL'ing at the 10cpm valuation. I would absolutely go ballistic if I ever got 1099'ed by AA. A couple years ago, for big contests like the 1MM giveaways, weren't they using something a wee bit more modest, like 2.5 cpm? (Still high I know, but I'd probably pay $8k-10k real cash to obtain 1MM miles and the Lifetime Plat I'd get along with it. :))

Six weeks after you have been signed up for three months. So early December. Maybe.

Good grief. They are certainly going to make us wait on this.

Thanks for the info IkeEsq. tls

I did the math according to the T&C. I put a reminder on my calendar to see if they post on Thanksgiving :)

I don't trust it, the way they value them, the 75k credit card bonus would be worth close to $7500.....x2 or 3 could cause big irs problems for us mile collectors.....just hope they dont start taxing the bonus offers.
Isn't there a limit where if they consider it a gift for their tax purposes that they would have to send you a 1099?...or is it $599 and above, like wages?

In for 1500 miles, thanks!

mnscout Jul 13, 2011 9:56 pm

Not eligible, thanks anyway!

I thought AA was working on a better international network.
Why don't they do the same with their promos? Almost all promos are only targeted at US citizens. :(

Sweet.. 2500 miles.
