UA 50K pull the trigger?
I have an offer from UA for 50k. I'm debating if this is the time to pull the trigger or wait and see if they come out with a 75k or 100k offer. I won't be shocked anymore with the recent slew of offers if that is offered. Seems too good to pass up! Although, I would prefer the Chase Sapphire 50K and make an attempt to get additional 50k.

Chase Sapphire results for the additional 50K have not been good recently. I would just go for the Sapphire card cause it has no foreign transaction fees, directs you to a CSR agent when calling and can be transferred 1:1 to many hotels/airlines.

You could always transfer the Sapphire points to Continental at 1:1. You can link your CO and UA accounts and transfer the point to UA. That way even if you don't get the extra 50k bump, you still have the 50k from the original offer.

I got the same offer. Too good to pass up. 50k UA points after the first purchase with $65 annual fee waived for the first year. Normal 30k UA bonus wasn't too interesting...I fly CO more than UA, so I'll just transfer the UA points to CO once they post, even though the programs will merge, just to make myself feel better about the marginally higher CO mileage balance
Seems like UA is targeting CO elites (or CO elites who matched to UA) without an existing UA card. I saw the offer on the UA homepage where the 30k offer normally shows up.
I wanted to pull the trigger on chase sapphire 50k offer, but I'm just finishing up the spend requirement on BA chase and didn't want to put any more pressure to spend more money than I have to...I'll apply for the sapphire next month for hopefully another 50k after a few months

I would save my Chase apps and get the BA, Hyatt or Sapphire Preferred cards. 50K UA miles doesn't seem to be worth much...
AX Plat, BA, Sapphire gave 100K, and Hyatt gives 2 nights plus Plat status.
However, this is from the perspective of a UA 1K, where I can rack up the miles fairly easily with the elite RDM bonus. Hotel points can be expensive to get.

I didn't notice any expiration date when I applied, and the one-page offer online didn't have anything specific. This was certainly a targeted offer as when I logged out of my UA account then normal 30k bonus offer popped up in the 50k offer's place.
