Chase Bill Pay Miles
 
My apologies if this is in the wrong forum, but United is offering miles with setting up Chase bill pay. My question is if these are in addition to using your credit card to pay bills that earn miles, or are they just promoting using your credit card to pay bills only?

If they are offering miles for using Chase bill pay those would be separate from earned miles from spending.

Looks to me like they are just promoting using your credit card to pay your bills. I don't see anything about earning more miles beyond the standard 1 mile per dollar spent that you normally get or using your card.

But the question is: do you earn miles (even the standard ones) if one of the bills you pay is your cc bill.

In the emails and such they list utilities, but never a cc. Anyone know?

If you click through on (for example) Alabama Power you will eventually find the option to pay by credit card with a convenience fee:

Need to pay with a Credit Card?
For a fee of $3.95, pay through our partner Bill Matrix.
