Just got a quote that was 150% more than I'm paying now...instead of $1200 a year it was $3,200... Insane.

They also offer this same deal with American as well.

I did an auto quote for one and a homeowners quote for another. I will see if they post with both Delta and American in a few weeks.

. . . and AA miles are much more valuable than devalued SkyPiles.

Wow, am I the only one who's actually getting a quote that's a good deal? I may go back to this and actually buy a policy when my current one comes up for renewal.

Did a quote for a renters insurance using the address of my P.O. Box. Not sure how competitive it is as I never needed one before but anyway...

There is a Quote ID so if anyone cares, write it down and if the miles dont show give them hell... for what it's worth (500 miles max). :o

Yep. I fly both so I try to spread the miles around. I haven't had that much trouble booking low awards for international trips on Delta so they haven't seem that devalued to me compared to AA miles however.

(Of course for reward trips like that I'm 'roughing it' in coach which may help some. ;))

I did this a few years ago and had AIG which was cheaper than Geico for auto and at the time had Travelers for home insurance. Liberty Mutual was cheaper so it was nice to have the miles and save around 500 per year on a combined based per year.

Did this a month ago for AA miles since I am not convinced Delta miles accually have any value at all these days. ;)

Actually my auto insurance quote was 40% less than I am paying for Geico so I WILL be changing after my current policy is up. 500 miles and actually save money. I'm happy.

Mine was triple what I am paying State Farm. The only thing I can think of is I did not add my SSN so that would make the quote higher as credit score is a factor in insurance.

May I request the posters to be a bit more careful with the post titles. This one could be titled, '500 Delta points for an Insurance quote'. The points are not free, one has to go through some hoops to get them. Some people may not want to share the info needed for these quotes, and could skip opening the thread. Just a thought!

My miles posted today. It was listed as "SkyMiles Incentive Miles", it wasn't until I went digging in my inbox that I found an e-mail talking about the Delta miles being posted for the insurance quote.

Still waiting for the same deal I did but with Americab to post.

jmw2323 Apr 6, 2011 2:35 pm

auto quote was double my current geico policy

crescidp Apr 6, 2011 2:44 pm
