Intersting thing about this certificate is the LIMITS on number of certificates you can order:

Delta: 100
UNited: 40
U-S Air: 100

It says American and Northwest and TWA do NOT have certificate limits.

So according to the rules you can earn as much as 50K miles.

ONe complaint though: the procedure is you mail the proofs of purchase to H-C, they mail you the certificate than YOU HAVE TO MAIL IT TO THE AIRLINE. TOO cumbersome for me. Why not give H-C your frequent flyer #, send in the proofs AUTOMATICALLY credit the miles.

Also: certificates can be lost in the mail and if you get them too late they're expired.

OMNI: These folks in teh TWA AMbassadors club are looking at me funny because I'm sitting here ripping coupons out of the sunday circulars. HEY! Like MIles I saw "SHOW ME THE COUPONS!!!" (Esp with double coupons at my Shop Rite!)

Central Ohio newspaper coupon is for 500 Miles also. Healthy Choice web page lets
one print one with name and address provided
by user. The only difference I noticed on
the two coupons is the newspaper one has a Dept. A in its mailing address and the web site has a Dept. E.

The paper also had some nice coupons. By the
way, Kroger came through with their 50% off
sale today too! So, a frozen "meal" is $1.89,
less any "cents" off coupons.

I just sent a request in for 500 miles today.
Will be curious how long the "round trip" takes for actual posting of miles to account.

henwood Apr 25, 1999 4:16 pm

The coupon section in my newspaper (Salt Lake City) also had only the 500 mile offer, plus several coupons for cents off. Went shopping and struck GOLD! Maybe this area is targeted, because everywhere I went in the store there were "DOUBLE YOUR MILES" certificates. I received one of these in the mail earlier from Counsellor, now I have lots for the asking. Get one of these before you redeem for only 500 miles. Just as well get 1000 miles for every ten UPC's. E-mail me an address and I'll be happy to send you one. I need to give back to all of you for all the help and info I have got from you. But same date is on these. Offer good only until 5/31/99. Hurry if you want one.

Just sent off my first DOUBLE MILES cert. Hope to get 3000 Miles for eating. Not bad.

One question now. Has anyone noticed under the address line(the fine print) it says Quote, "Requests from P.O.Box Addresses will not be honored or returned".
WHAT THE HECK DOES THAT MEAN? If I have a PO Box for an address, does my stuff go in the trash or what? I hope not. I have never seen this or anything like it. Any ideas what they are trying to say or prevent?
Thanks All

Counsellor Apr 25, 1999 5:31 pm

Henwood - Great find, and thanks for offering to send to others. My supply was getting really low.

As to the "no P.O. Boxes" wording, this is becoming more common now on mail-in rebate offers, since some unscrupulous people would rent numerous P.O. boxes and send in repeatedly for offers (slightly changing their names each time). For that reason, many offers now require a street/office address or the refund/rebate won't be sent.

However, it makes little sense to invoke that rule on this promotion, since there is no limit to the number of times you can send in (at least, none stated on the certificate).

Anyway, just use your regular street or apartment or office address and you should have no problems.

Catman - you can get much more than 50K miles if you send to AA, NW, or TWA, and eat enough HC. That's probably the limiting factor.

As to the 500 mile certificates rather than the miles being automatically credited, I can see two advantages. (1) If you can postpone sending in the certificates, you can extend the miles (if you're dealing with an airline that expires miles), and (2) If the certificates turn out to be transferable, they can be gifted to someone else to fill out needed miles.

We'll have to see how it turns out.

(Oh, and for those of you whose Sunday Supplement didn't have a double certificate, don't despair - some supermarkets are tardy and may not post pads until the work week employees come in, so I'd check back again on Monday and Tuesday before deciding that you're in the "wrong" region.)

Raymar Apr 26, 1999 8:34 pm

Don't see any double miles certificates here in Illinois. Would appreciate it someone could spare one. Thanks.

Catman Apr 27, 1999 12:07 am

ALL Of THE CERTIFICATES I HAVE ARE NOW CLAIMED!!!! THANK YOU FOR E-MAILING.

IF I GET ANY EXTRAS... I WILL POST HERE.

Comicwoman Apr 27, 1999 7:24 am

Raymar, I saw them in the freezer case at Dominicks two weekends ago. If I make it back, I should grab a bunch and post here.

burkey Apr 27, 1999 9:25 am

There were not any certs in the stores I visited yesterday in the Philadelphia area. Although some of the HC products were on sale. Best I found was chocolate pudding and the microwave popcorn for $1.25, needless to say, I now have enough of those products for the next mellenium... (on the way to 4k)

Counsellor May 8, 1999 5:39 pm

As I mentioned in another thread related to this topic, I still have a few of the double mile certificates (mail-in forms), so if you still need one e-mail me your snail mail address and I'll send one to you until I run out.

The "double" offer (two 500 mile certificates for each 10 UPCs) ends on 31 May, which is a holiday (post offices will be closed), so don't put it off.

Counsellor May 10, 1999 6:11 am

No more certificates available from me - I'm out (except for the one I'm sending in myself). Hope you all get lots of miles.

Thanks again, Counsellor.

Does anyone know the answer to the following:

I bought the 3pack microwave popcorn. Do I get credit for each individual bag as each has a UPC or only one for the box?

I've been looking for the pudding but havn't found a store that carries it.

Thanks...

pgupta011 May 11, 1999 9:50 pm

Since they are asking for a receipt with the purchase priced circled, it probably depends on whether the 3pk shows up on the receipt as three items or as one.

essxjay May 11, 1999 10:42 pm

The 3-pack of popcorn counts as one item. Even if each bag has a UPC, only the one from the box is valid for the promotion. Same deal on the pudding. You may get four containers, but it counts as one purchase.

Essxjay, you may be right, but can I ask why you seem so positive? It isn't clear from the certificate. All the cert says is send ten UPCs and proof that you paid for the product. Have you posed this question to the people at Healthy Choice?

fubar May 19, 1999 3:24 am

Counsellor: Many thanks for the double miles cert which arrived 5-14.

sggolf: Have you looked for the pudding on the shelf near jello and pudding mix? I had been looking in the refrigerated section, but it does not require refrigeration. Makes it easier to store the vast quantities I have been purchasing.
