here is a site that has info on CO/UA offers and a section entitled registration bonuses...it also has links to milesmaven and other sites that have comprhensive lists of offers for just about every loyalty program.

Join both. You will never have a better opportunity to have two accounts in one program. Then resist offers (that are typically 500-1,000 miles in other merging airlines) to consolidate them. The benefit? You have two places to earn every bonus. And particularly those that are capped. For example, rental car partner bonuses. @:-)
