All of my miles have been showing up correctly. Sad to see this go.

It was never a way to get miles-rich, but the program delivered what it promised. Grocery margins are notoriously low, and I guess the retailers figured out that the vast majority of us shop there for convenience and price, not a few paltry miles.

I've always had my Safeway miles post promptly. And that was the main reason I shopped at Safeway.
If the program is being dropped, then I will start shopping elsewhere ..... the Safeway closest to my home was one of the older designs and limited in size. Also wondering who is cheaper in your area - I really see very little difference between the majors like Safeway, Lucky, etc. particularly when you try to stock up on sale items. Certainly not Whole Foods. We do buy some items that are cheaper at Trader Joes, and will continue to do so, but their product selection is limited. And my time is too valuable to shop at WalMart, where I have often found higher prices (though Target ain't bad on a few items) |
