The trick is if you ahve a credit card that earns you HOTEL points Like the HIlton Optima or one of the Sheraton/Westin cards or the Marriott Visa... use those when you stay at hotels that you can't get miles for (or even if you get very little miles) and you'll still earn a few points in your favorite hotel point.

This is not an original idea, but it's on the CAT'S HAPPY & SAFE TRAVELING SUGGESTIONS!!

My company's amended my Vegas trip slightly so I can work 1.5 days then have rest of time free!

And at least I only have to go to JFK on the way back!
