JeffS, I would never complain about visiting Chicago too much. It's the greatest city in the world!

Baltimore isn't too bad either. Summertime at the Inner Harbor is a lot of fun.

OMNI:

This Chi-town gal is hoping that JeffS was referring to Indy & not "my kind of town". It's good to hear that even some folks who don't live there think it's the greatest city in the world (which it is! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif )

I've only flew through BWI & haven't had the chance to see Baltimore. Maybe one day...

Omni
I shouldn't complain about the Indy trips, after all it is 4 segments and over 2000 status miles. And for this month triple miles.
Chicago is a great town AnnaS and, yes you should come to Baltimore for a visit. Go O's!

I am already building the reception committee.

on your arrival Tuesday, baobab, every body in Zurich will have a big headache - on this coming monday afternoon and long night the gildes (and in Zurich every Man - MAN ONLY!!! is in a gild) have there big "Winter-burning"-festivities - it is a holiday in this town called "Sechselaeuten" and everybody is in town watching.

NJDavid Apr 15, 1999 5:07 pm

Baobab, how are you getting from LGA to JFK? That's a long walk between terminals!

Taxi, Shuttle bus, helicopter?

Catman Apr 15, 1999 6:25 pm

Baobab... to get from LGA to JFK your best bet is to take a cab. It's also good to make sure the cab takes you there (some whine about going that distance -- but city law says cabs cannot refuse to take passengers to where they want to go.)

Does British Air (if you are taking them) have a shuttle bus or can arrange transportation.

I'm dreading going to JFK end of month for my VEGAS trip... I do NOT like the NYC airports!

megamiles Apr 15, 1999 7:04 pm

Only one trip this month (reward ticket in Exec. First)

SEA-YVR AC 1544 10:15a-11:05a
YVR-YYZ AC 148 12:30p-7:45p

and I'm back home.

baobab Apr 19, 1999 2:26 pm

To answer your questions... I travelled from LGA to JFK via the (very efficient) Swiss consulate general. Car service in, cab out - the car service smelt better, but cost far more... (why, if there were signs all over the cab telling me not to smoke, could I distinctly discern the delicate aroma of cigarette smoke?)

Travel well, Tree!

Rudi Apr 20, 1999 8:47 am

the biological wonder happened - a "baobab" tree arrived (1 hour late) in Zurich and, to my surprise, there were no immigration obstacles from the swiss federal agriculture department brought forward.
