Really?

"Fare gone" = "Dead deal", if I'm not mistaken..

IF you mean what I think you mean...

The purpose behind maintaining threads about fares which can no longer be purchased is to allow those who succesfully booked said fares to share information on "how, when, where and why (or not:))"...

This seems especially valuable when discussing changes to bookings... or difficulties caused by schedule changes etc....

getdev: get a fresh drink & a comfy chair, & read the epic drama thread
Wickedly Low Biz Class Fare from YYZ to LCA (Cyprus) on AZ (Alitalia).

Ran for 18 months & a tad over 9k posts :D

Ok. That answer explains it. Because in going through the threads there are some pretty amazing deals. And I was like is this for real. How is it possible this could happen.

But with a more thorough look it appears you have to fly and book these extravaganzas at really odd times.

Or catch "clerical errors" by people asleep at the switch.

Odd times, bizarre routings, inconvenient minimum stays, the works. And then there's SFO-AKL in business.
