I checked from 16 August to 30 September (fare not valid 15 Jul to 15 Aug) and the only date I found that has K availability LAX-BOG-LIM is 13 September departure. But I could not find a return in September.
The problem is availability, not that the fare is dead!

Update through end of October:
can depart LAX Oct 5/7/19/21/26. That is it in K class for all of October.
Can't find any return LIM-BOG-LAX from 21 Oct to 19 Nov. Didn't check earlier return dates.

yeah, I called and the guy was looking for me and dates that he told me before, when he went back, they were gone. The problem was the return part, he could find flights there, but never back.

You've got to have some K availability. When I checked on EF this morning, lots of spotty K availability. If you have some date ranges, I can check for you if you don't have access to a seat availability site.
I was looking for Thanksgiving dates, and using itasoftware, I kept plugging in different amount of days, and it finally pulled up something that would work. (Nov 27-Dec 16).

K zeroed out, or gone, Oct-Nov
I checked all of November, and a lot of October, and found no K inventory for the LAX-BOG leg. Not sure if they pulled inventory or all the Fat Wallet people already dogpiled on it.
At least the flight I booked last night has a ticket number and confirmation number.
I'd like to thank the OP, and it does go to show that Farecompare does actually give you some good deals, once in a blue moon.

Be sure to post your dates on the Community Buzz thread. I am afraid there won't be all that many of us FT'ers going though from the posts about how difficult it has been to find availability.

Well, I considered that, seeing as just the LAX-BOG was sold out (on a 767), but not the BOG-LIM which is often a 757, it brought up the other possibility. All just conjecture, of course.

I suppose this has restored a lil bit of my confidence in FC. Now, if only PPT were bookable...
