I may not have posted much, but as a reader of these forums I've noticed that many people like yourself with high post counts tend take a somwhat contemning and elitist attitude in followup posts when a newbie makes an innocent or ignorant error in a post. Face it, someone new may see a topic where it makes sense to post their question. Next thing you know, they're getting barbs from you guys. Perhaps it's just a way for you to get your gratification by increasing your post count by 1. But hey, whatever makes you feel like a "contributor"... Why not just bring it up with the mods if it intrudes on your FT experience that much.

You obviously didn't read all of my posts :rolleyes:

a) apparently, you're more concerned with my post count than I am.
b) i help those who show an inclination to help themselves. those who just post expecting an answer, i "help" them by showing them to the search function or refering them to a stickie, so they know where to find an answer in the future.

give a man a fishing pole....

Yikes, I hope I don't get labeled as such. Enough people on here don't like me as it is...

With that said, Welcome to FT dodgy, cospike, and The Thumbs Up Guy!

Anyways, I hope you have a better understanding of this terminology.

Actually, your post #14 had ZERO to do w/ topic at hand and added nothing. You could have been more helpful to someone w/ 1 post. You were a newb too, and not too long ago...

But then again, no one likes me, so who cares...

Actually, #14 of this thread was to bring to light the fact that this thread shouldn't be in the MR section and probably should be moved. Besides that, the answer was already given.

Yes yes, we were all newbs once. Better that OP stops being a newb sooner rather than later. :rolleyes:

Some people do appear to not be patient sometimes. I remember one guy who asked a question - only had 3 posts. He ended up getting EMails to his yahoo account since his FT name was also his yahoo name.

Most people do have patience with newbie's but some don't. I just hope it doesn't discourage more newbies to come on board. A couple of the great MR deals have actually been posted by newbies so I am definitely against a minimum number of posts to access the MR forum.

What does a/i really mean? I know it means all in, from what I've read, but what does it really mean? Does it mean including taxes?

Thanks =D

Yes, a/i does mean ALL in, which includes taxes. Items like money for visas, ect. are not necessarily included.

Holy resurrection! Hard to believe that people got slammed for asking questions 5 years ago just like today.

Went to it, no glossary option, must have the enhanced version. ;)

But did get to the glossary to try to find out what HIP stands for, not there. Nor is a google search very revealing. I am guessing xx in progress?
