Anyone know the J fare basis code for these bookings?

Assume this is gone or the fares were a mistake?

I can't reproduce any of these fares on the HK Airlines site.

So my "confirmed" booking with Expedia for LAX-SGN never actually got ticketed with the airline. Got an email/call from Expedia overnight and had to call them back, who informed me they were unable to get the ticket at the original price and only option would be to book different airline or pay the higher price around 9K. Obviously i just cancelled.

Good luck to all.

no, what YOU posted is nonsense actually - to say BA upgrades are strict is complete BS. my last three flights from the front of the cabin i witnessed three free upgrades on each flight - on two occasions where people simply asked for it.
what i said about my experience was 100% true. there is more detail to it, in so much as the original flight was cancelled and we were moved onto another flight, but the conversations i describe and the experience is exactly what happened - it's completely disgusting that BA don't reply three weeks on and still haven't re-imbursed the difference. by your response i can only assume you've got your head in the clouds - perhaps you are alex cruz and think BA are market-leaders??

Yeah, you should be gold after the first sector LAX-HKG

I just cancelled my booking, so LAX-PVG Sept 28 and PVG-LAX Feb 3 might open up again, in case anyone is interested.

Anyone wondering, looks like the fares will be honored. Per The Short Final:

"Dear Dom,

Yes, Hong Kong Airlines will honour all confirmed and ticketed Business Class bookings.

Best regards"

Long gone? It’s been less than 24 hours since the fare was discovered.

By deal terms, erm - yeah. It was dead before I went to sleep in London last night, and I've since run miles, had coffee, had breakfast, lunch and am carrying on. When deals last minutes, barely hours, 12+ hours since the deal died is a long time ago.

I know of another writer Chris McGinnis who contacted their PR team who confirmed they're honoring, with the touch "it's the right thing to do". If you're someone who is happy and optimistic now, you have them to thank - not the naysayers on here. Just my two, again...

some context is helpful with these “cancelled” reports. Were you ticketed?
