Super thankful to the OP for highlighting this fare today. Just booked the family for a Xmas trip LAX-LHR in BF. Just under $10k all-in. As great as the GF fare is, it would be wasted on a 5 and 7 year-old...plus, the biz class seating is more conducive to traveling with two small (but well-behaved!) children. Looked like tons of availability over the late December timeframe in either biz or first...

I booked from LAX to FRA in F about 2 weeks ago on a mix of UA and LH for $4734.

Many thanks OP. I have to be in London in the fall and have been looking at fares for the past few weeks. Perfect timing! I was able to use a voucher to bring it down further.

Some are reporting ability to get the fares outside the period mentioned. Multiple promotions in effect?

Yeah, but if AA offered the fare and UA didn't, OW could certainly be "my alliance" for a trip...

SFO-LHR is often the 777 with 8 across in BF. Really cramped and crappy cabin to be in. Still a good price, but just in case you didnt know already.

How's the BF on the 787 Dreamliner for IAH-LHR?

And it is the sCO seat so you actually have space to put your things.
And you can have undisturbed aisle access taking one of the middle 2.

It's a little early for Thanksgiving fares to be offered. While one year recently Thanksgiving business class travel went on sale in late June, late July or early Aug is the norm.

However, last year's sales were pretty disappointing, so if you do find a good fare, you may want to book it.

On the dates I booked I am on the 747 both ways. Upper deck!
