100% EQM for Alaska Mileage Plan as well.

$557ai is through 15MAR, but similar fares from $602ai are good through 31MAY.

From 26OCT the MEX-CDG-MEX flights are scheduled on the 787.

stevenryals Jul 24, 2013 9:42 am

what is an AM N-fare equivalent to on DL?

Concerto Jul 24, 2013 9:56 am

Seems to yield a 50% mileage earn on Flying Blue, which is pretty generous for that generous by nature FFP. Any chance of it working the other way around, or from other US gateways?

It's listed as Discount Economy which is the same category as DL S/H/Q/K. Not that it really matters, because the DL-operated (and AF-operated) legs seem to only be available with AM flight numbers, so the N class determines the earnings. Or are you seeing something different?

jb831 Jul 24, 2013 11:59 am

Now showing at $494.74.

*EDIT* Gah, sorry... nevermind. DL.dumb is returning erroneous pricing through Multi-City. Won't ticket with all necessary segments.

Can SkyTeam Elite Plus pre-reserve exit row seats on AeroMexico?

Also, has anyone managed to book this on aeromexico.com?

cfwolfs Jul 24, 2013 1:55 pm

Stupid question... Flight departs at 11:15pm on December 31 from Paris. Is that considered 2013 MQM qualification (for DL) or 2014. I realize that the flight the next day at 7am is 2014 MQM qual year.

JoeFlyer Jul 24, 2013 1:58 pm

Flight counts towards MQMs for the year your flight is scheduled to depart. So the CDG-MEX would count towards 2013, but the MEX-ATL departing on Jan 1 would count towards 2014.

Was having trouble with the AM site, so I used ITA to find my dates, and then went to Kayak/Travelocity where it could be booked. Thanks to the OP for the OP's usual great find.

Were you able to assign exit row seats?

Anyone have luck getting this to come up on DL.dumb? I have a voucher I want to burn on it and would obviously need to book there. I tried Multi-City but cannot get the direct MEX-CDG to come up on Aeromexico.

I can't get delta.com to book anything besides Delta and codeshares. :(

I have tried in the recent past to get AM flights also, but no luck!

I wonder if a call o teh PSSL would work. Probably depends on the agent - but might be worth a try.

Dalat767 Jul 24, 2013 5:44 pm

Try to select mexico-espanol site and search by multidestino. The price will be quoted by peso (MXN).

Another awesome find by cokeandtaco! Going in January.

Spiff Jul 25, 2013 12:45 am

Be careful not to book an E fare for $40 more. No mileage for Delta.

Great find! Finally an excellent deal for ATL folks! Planning to go in Oct and have a nice long weekend in the beautiful fall of Paris!

Are AM and DL fare classes aligned? I know that Delta E fares earn no mileage but do AM E fares also not earn DL MQM's and RDM's?

Read it and weep: AeroMexico Earn for SkyMiles

"Class Exclusions: If a class is not listed, no miles are earned."

E class is not listed. However, happily N is. 100% too.

Bought the $558 ticket. The fare basis is "NRLXBG" Can anyone confirm this fare basis is good for MQM earning?

Check out airlineroute.net, the update states 3 times a week starting 10/26, then daily on October 31.

Optiontown

Does anyone have any experience with Optiontown? It seems like an interesting concept, I can upgrade my ticket to Clase Premier for $399 each way if space allows... However, they hold my $399 each way in limbo until then, and then refund it if it doesn't happen.

typo in the OP: presumably it's AF (Air France) not AS (Alaska Air) :)

EDIT: Or is it referring to the mileage accrual and not the codeshares?

This fare is good for 100% accrual with DL and AS.

AF appears to clock in at 50%.

I did not, and won't. Is the reason that this fare is missing some surcharges and therefore alerting DL would be a bad thing? In past MRs, I have booked through the PSSL but it was one that actually came up on DL.dumb whereas this one does not.

If you don't mind, where did you book this?
I'm getting the 'price just increased' run-around from Orbitz and CheapTickets.
TIA

I'd say that the fuel surcharge (YR) is coded incorrectly, it's $2.80, but in disecting a ATL-MAD flight on AM, it's also coded at $2.80, so it's not the fuel surcharge that's causing this to be so low.

It's entirely possible that they are attempting to get more people on the 787? Maybe there are low sales on it... I'd use that argument if the code share on AF wasn't also the same price.

Ours is not to reason why, ours is just to buy buy buy?

This is an AM fare, DL.com is of no use and the AM site has limitations....use 3rd party OTA....Try ex(pedia).com Multiple Destinations, it even shows the fare class.
