Thumbs up [FARE GONE] US: DCA-LIT-DCA $60 ai in Sep

Links to the deal

This could be a great mileage run because Between July 7th and September 30th, you will receive double miles on all US Airways flights in and out of Washington, DC Reagan National Airport (DCA). No registration is required, however, you must book your flight by August 5th.

Distance from LIT-DCA: 888 miles for $30 = 3.3 cent/mile since the double mile promotion is active, you will get 1.65 cent/mile. This is cheaper than buying miles at 100% bonus from US Airways

Fly from Washington, DC (DCA) for only $30 one way*

Choose from 6 great destinations:
Tallahassee (TLH)
Fort Walton Beach (VPS)
Pensacola (PNS)
Little Rock (LIT)
Jackson, MS (JAN)
Birmingham (BHM)

Here's how:
Book today by 4PM ET (or before we sell out)
Travel between September 4 - 13, 2012
Hurry – there are only 30 seats each way in each market!

Darned good deal. Too bad I live in EWR. But still so tempting to visit LIT or JAN (or drive from JAN to MSY).

The bonus miles in the DCA promotion are not PQM, so its 3.3 cpm for PQM. it looks like flying into JAN will get you the most miles.

Grabbed 2! One for TLH and one for VPS!!

Around 3000 PQMs and 9000 miles total plus visiting two places that otherwise probably would never had the chance to see for $120!! ^^^

Btw, same day connection into DCA will nullify the double miles.

I got one to PNS. Now to figure out what to see in a few hours. Sorry for the over-enthusiasm, but I've only recently been introduced to this site and the world of mileage points. The deal itself was exciting for me. Where can I learn more about PQM and such?? Thank you to OP and to all who contribute to this informational site.

Great find OP!
This might be a stupid question, but do I only get double miles if I accumulate dividend miles, or is it doubled if I put the miles with United as well?

As per T&C, i don't think this is true!! A connection involves two different destinations at the end of the itinerary (i.e. for A-B-C, B is a connection, A-B-A is a roundtrip).

I'm doing a round trip to PNS 9/8-9/9. Sure, it means driving 4 hours up from Durham, NC but when else am I going to get to fly DCA-PNS? Anyone going to be on the 8:25 AM flight that Saturday?
