This would be great to coordinate with my HNL-AMS ticket, but I can't get T fares in Feb. Those darn holidays.

This same fare is available in the opposite direction HNL/OGG-EWR as well for some possibilities to minimize the 3 day stay requirement...

Anyone get it to price? Travelocity shows availability, but when I picked specific flights, the fare went above $600.

I was really just testing it, because I can't figure out how to use it (I'm sure some mileagerunner would be interested, but in my mind this is a VACATION fare, especially with the 3 day rule). I've already got some ff tickets to Hawaii for next year on Delta (talk about pulling teeth!), and this fare isn't quite cheap enough to make me cancel them and pay.

But if your situation is different, and you can get it to price, this is an exceptional deal. Believe me, using your ff miles to get to Hawaii is a BIG hassle!

This fare prices and can be purchased on DL.com. At this price, if I was you, I would purchase the tickets and save the miles for a trip when tickets are more expensive.

Yeah, there's some logic to that of course. In my case though, I was using "orphaned" DL miles (I'm a CO platinum) to buy 5 tickets. I found redeeming these miles to be an enormous headache -- call 331 days in advance, book the return, wait on hold for hours (cumulative) as they sort it out, etc. If I book this instead, I'm guessing I'd have to pay $250 in redeposit fees and $2000 for the 5 tickets. And then I'll have to start all over to redeem my DL miles again! Less significantly, I'd have to also drive about 120 miles to get to EWR, instead of use my home airport.

So perhaps you can perhaps understand my reluctance, even though the mileage-maximizing strategy is probably to rebook and redeposit.

The fare basis is T7M3N20.

I uploaded a PDF of the rules from ITA (seems to include a little more info than the OP's great post): http://www.filefactory.com/dlf/f/216f3e/

Great find, singal3! ^

I'm wondering if this is a stab at CO?

DL seems to fight with others using their Hawaii routes (I flew MSP-SLC-HNL-SLC-MSP on Delta this spring for $324, I'm guessing to annoy NWA). Since I can accrue NW miles with those trips anyway, I say keep it up DL!!

As is to be expected with DL, I can find this fare on ITA but cannot book it anywhere, including delta.com Prices out close to $600.

It is available on Delta.com, at least some of the time. Here's a screenshot from some dates in September:

Delta's "flexible dates" search options work well for finding this fare.

I found it to be available at delta.com 2 minutes ago.

Departing Tue 10/3
Returning Wed 10/11

$342.60+39.70 (tx and fees) = $382.30

Maybe change your dates?? Also, stick with mid-week departures if you can.

Yup, I also got it to price on delta.com. Seemed like plentiful inventory, even at more peak times.

Finally found it. Glad to see DL has fixed their flexible date search feature. Not glad to see that DL results on ITA are still IMO >90% unreliable.

send a PM to ITA Hacker. He's been requesting info on times when there are discrepancies between ITA and the airline websites:

I can't get anything with KOA or HNL to work. It seems like only OGG is valid
