AA: ZRH to AUS, RT from $294 ($255 basic)

Good fares September - November on AA/BA from ZRH-AUS RT. $294 through PHL or ~$320 if you take the BA LHR-AUS flight, with about a $40 discount for each fare if you do basic economy. 2.7-2.9cpm depending on your routing and fare.

Google flights example.

so with a $500 positioning flight (return) and then a $294 ex-ZRH return nested within it, you can essentially get two trips to EU for $800. its a good deal, but not great, and probably not compelling enough for someone based in the USA. wait for a better fare that is easier to access.

several airlines have off-season EU fares from the USA for under $450, those would be a better deal for you it seems. here is an example that was just posted this week for instance. https://www.theflightdeal.com/2018/0...ing-all-taxes/

Update: same deal open from FRA for a few bucks more. Seeing $314 BE / $350 Y wide open in Sep/Oct/Nov/Jan/Feb: https://www.google.com/flights/?f=0#f=0&flt=/m/02z0j.AUS.2019-01-11.FRADFW0AA71~DFWAUS0AA1373*AUS./m/02z0j.2019-01-14.AUSCLT0AA1961~CLTFRA0AA704;c:USD;e:1;sd:1;t:f;s p:.USD.31393*.USD.31393

From FRA there are also some okay premium economy details on BA/AA, not quite MR territory though.

If you are in the Austin area and don't mind leaving from IAH you can use the flying blue promotion for under 11k points one way to the eu
