[PREM FARE GONE] ET: Cairo to Cairns in D/J/C for $1,230+
If found this in Google Flights here:
https://www.google.com/flights/#flt=...;sc:b;sd:1;t:f
And I was able to find cheap fares in ExpertFlyer here:
But no luck in figuring out how to book. Can someone more experienced than me help me understand if this is a real, bookable fare?

It does appear to be a valid fare. Well - it's loaded and autoprices properly in travel agent GDSes. I built as a sample itinerary:
EgyptAir codeshare (ET code operated by Egyptair) CAI-ADD
ADD-SIN (ET)
SIN-SYD (BA, books into I class)
SYD-CNS on Jetstar (B class)
CNS-HKG on CX (I class)
HKG-ADD-CAI on ET
And it priced to US$1372
Not sure it's not an error, but it's certainly in there and pricing properly. Poor connection timing for the above itinerary, but I just wanted to see if it would validate with the OA segments. You might be/will likely be able to build better timed connections if you want to do it for real.
Refundable less a USD$150 fee, no minimum stay. Not bad considering it allows CX and BA flights.

It's been around for a week at least so not sure if it's a mistake (cause it woulda otherwise been fixed no?). I was looking at it last week but decided against it cuz of the flight timings and limited vacation I have.

I've tried to book it on Ethiopian and on Orbitz and got
"There are no scheduled flights for this itinerary. Please select another dates or search again."
and "Sorry, we're having a problem on our end. Please try your search again later." respectively.
Has anybody managed to book it?

Print out the Matrix and take ot to a travel agency. They should be able to recreate and ticket it for you. There might be a small fee but cheap compared to the hassle. I did that for an around the world mileage run, a 30,404 mile mixed-cabin itinerary. 3 flights in Y and 5 flights in J on KE, QF, LA, EK & CX for a little over $2100 USD. I checked the fare buckets to confirm seat availability and the Travel Agent had me ticketed in less than 15 minutes. I had my eticket and selected seats within an hour.
