Ua : Ewr -> sin $469 usd ai

Came across another UA deal while going through the UA PQM spreadsheet:
https://www.google.com/flights/#sear...-LAXEWR0UA2117

Availability seems to be Q1 2018 (i.e. Jan - Mar 2018) with some availability in April. Unfortunately deal only seems to be good flying out of EWR (and not LAX as previous deal).

Flights should 11,244 PQM each way (gets you close to UA Silver on 1 trip!).

Good to know this is still around, though it's been available for some time, not just from LAX.

Great find! Doesn't work the other way right? SIN-EWR-SIN?

Question, would it be better to allocate to my current asiana status which is currently around 5K for this flight or open a new account with United and credit there?

I wish we could get a deal like this out of the DC area. I end up taking one dirtcheap TPAC MR a year to keep my Plat status and this would fit the bill.
I can take advantage of it, but positioning adds $50-$100 depending on whether I want to take the bus or Amtrak to EWR. The extra time is more a PITA than the $$$.

China OJ deal from BWI

There is a deal for D.C. Travelers; it is called China OJ. BWI-xxx-HKG-HGH/PEK-xxx-BWI-Canada city. The cost is $329 plus $140 for Chinese visa (valid for 10 years).

Check the posts on this thread after #637 for searching info. There is $329 price available for other dates. The best place to search is United App. BWI-HGH/PEK-BWI/BWI-YUL (YYZ, YOW or YQB). Good luck.

I found a similar deal w/o a repo flight from both YOW and YUL. Mine is YOW-IAD-SFO-SIN-SFO-DEN-EWR-YOW for $616 US. I managed to get it over the Easter weekend (March 28-April 1) so yes its still around. Woks out at 3 cpm.

Thank you for the quick response. All I need now is to get a China visa.

Deal still Live

Just thought I'd point out that this deal is still alive and kickin' (perhaps a long term promotion by UA?). Availability seems pretty good (incl tight turn arounds for extreme MRs)

Half tempted to do a long weekend MR on this deal or perhaps stay in SIN for a couple of days (this would be the 2nd Asian city I've visited after JKT)

Safe travels,

James
