Get these fast. They won't last long.

I know some might object to me posting, but this already has wide distribution on EU blogs, so FT will hardly add any killing power. Enjoy, FTers! :D

No need, but good work!

Great deal. Was all set to book a trip FCO-NRT in early May and see it expires April 30. :-(

Seems to be just for flights departing from Italy to Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Beijing, Tokyo and Osaka. Not valid with any feeders flights getting there..... still not bad though.

drdestiny Dec 17, 2012 3:07 am

do you have more precise terms to post?

RTW1 Dec 17, 2012 3:12 am

But for me the discount coupon code doesn't seem to work on a few bookings I tried.

it works, but you have sometimes to refresh the page and use FF. I've found PEK for 95€..seems best available dates are on Jan. 2013!

foxyankee Dec 17, 2012 3:32 am

Are you able to find somethin departing March 3rd to PEK? Return is flexible - I will use the outbound flight only!

Can not get off 589€ for April trips.

CAlex Dec 17, 2012 6:10 am

The only departure I can see with PEK at 100 EUR is 20-Jan, nothing after that. Returns are widely available until April, departure from PEK must be Mondays, to connect to AZ512 on Tuesdays… Anybody having better luck?

Plenty dates for NRT/KIX at ~250 EUR though...

TerryK Dec 17, 2012 6:14 am

Anyone able to find any deal to RIO or GRU?

CAlex Dec 17, 2012 6:42 am

no, prices there are very high, because it is high season. Also, there are no omissions in the taxes :(

Apr. has higher price.
this morning i've found PEK/NRT for 228€ (already discounted)!

largeeyes Dec 17, 2012 6:52 am

Paul, in April? Was hoping to use this to locate for RGN...but looks like no go.

Nothing less than 340€ promo code already applied, but now the code is gone :(

Palal Dec 17, 2012 2:45 pm

This is the prices it shows for a list of prices on the promo page
http://www.alitalia.com/en_en/specia..._multiuse.aspx

so saying that 100€ to China is unreasonable is bs :)

Multi-sector booking?

I can no longer find a multi-sector facility in the "advanced booking" section of AZ's site.

Perhaps I'm being thick, or has the option been removed? It clearly caused a few, errrr, problems for the airline.

It's still there. And even if they remove it for a while, I guess it will come back with new *specials*. :D

Use the cached version of the page, you could still use multi-leg search ;)

I booked a flight to Tokyo for January. Wanted to go there again in March or April. Any low rates for that period around? Osaka would be my choice.

Code is working but the YR is being calculated properly again.

Were a load of posts deleted? If so, maybe somebody should explain why, even by way of a PM

I think they were moved to Trick It (where they quickly get swallowed up via interspersion and are hard to find*) per BiziBB in the post above yours.

* ETA: I'm not at all criticizing the decision; it was the right decision. I'm just explaining to Irelandflyer why he may have had trouble finding the posts if he clicked through to Trick It.

Irelandflyer Dec 20, 2012 5:24 pm

Thanks!

I think that AZ is monitoring the site more closely now...

eurekaprice Dec 20, 2012 10:12 pm

If Alitalia is monitoring Flyertalk... they should keep those cheap fares off-season for airline geeks so frequent flyers can experience their product :)

I flew one of those dirty-cheap fares to Japan this year (in a half-empty plane otherwise) and it was quite a reasonable experience. It was my first with Alitalia, and I was quite freaked out about everything (bad) I had heard about them... yet it turned quite a good couple of flights comparable to your average Euro/US carrier... wouldn't mind to fly them again even if I would have to pay a typical fare :D

Thus why I am keeping them to myself as I have seen people that seem to be trustworthy post the fares on blogs

Definitions:

frequent flyer = eurekaprice

airline geek = anyone who finds a fare before the frequent flyer gets there

:D

Seriously - I find the phoenix nature of these AZ fares odd. AZ clearly knows what's going on. Surely it could easily get rid of whatever gremlins make it so simple to manipulate itineraries to our advantage. Could it be the airline is happy to earn any contribution from otherwise unsellable seats, but prefers to do the selling off radar?

Interesting stuff, thanks! I particularly enjoyed reading:

“Webtrends Optimize team’s outstanding experience and consultancy approach allowed us to increase the number of online bookings of 7.09% in three months,” Arnese [director of e-commerce at AZ] concludes. :D
