I would like to say just one thing: don't think that AZ voluntarily puts this Error Fare only in low season, about it, consider that a famous AZ's OJ worked fine to me on Xmas period (the highest possible!), so I'm not so sure AZ allows OJ tricks only in low season and voids them in high season.

Btw, last few days there has been a new "mistake" fare on their new service FCO-AUH that hasn't been reported here, about $200 ai return with several European different airports (open jaw).

It has been 'pirated' already.

Have always dreamt to fly to Abu Dhabi from Rome in winter :) but if the deal is on and it's < 4cpm have to at least consider it!

For me, cost of positioning to/from two EU airports would be more than the EU-AUH flight.

You can get PRG-MXP-FCO-AUH-FCO-MXP-LHR for £130, returning to LHR. So you only need one positioning flight LON-PRG ;) easyJet for £37.99 on most dates in summer...

That's a very nice ~4cpm but all that work for 7K miles on ST? although if you have a girlfriend in Abu Dhabi it makes it all worth it...:D

The FCO-AUH-FCO legs are operated by Etihad, which has a very nice Y product. So it's not so bad, you're avoiding AZ on the long segments!

In all fairness EY is a great airline, and their Y is very decent. And since it's not dry you will even have some decent wine to wash down the envy of the Sheiks' poor cousins flying up front with keys to their newly acquired ferraris in their pockets :)

I inquired at FB section of the FT but never got a reply - does any of you know if It is possible to get any segments with FB for this AZ open jaw AUH "promo"? I can't check the booking class but it says on their website (at the end of booking process) that you get 0 miles in MilleMiglia.

Where do you see that? I'm flying with them in January for 47¥ and it says nothing about being operated by Ethiad.

Some flights are operated by AZ's A330, and some are codeshares on EY's A330.

Maybe you booked all AZ itinerary?

Check booking class in ITA. Although EY operated codeshares might not be eligible for mileage accrual in FlyineBlue.

Looks like it :)

AA_EXP09 Dec 25, 2012 11:04 pm

Why would you credit to Flying Poo?
Just credit the miles to AA and be done with it.

There are no EY operated flights from FCO. EY only flies from MXP (great experience btw)
