Looks like a good fare to Nigera, $264 base on UA/AC/LH/DL
Seeing $618 a/i on Delta.
They had a similar fare war last year. Getting the visa is difficult but not impossible.
Edit. also good from ORD

Fare is good through Dec06 or Dec24-March31.
I see Nov24-Nov25 same-day turnaround for $618 on DL. IAH-ATL-LOS-ATL-IAH. Even cheaper IAH-ATL-LOS-ATL-AUS.
I never had to pay any bribes in Nigeria... or need a security detail. It's actually one of my favorite places in Africa. Colorful and chaotic like India.

While you do need to be discreet & tactful about what you do in Nigeria, if find it to be an interesting place. That said, I will not be going back anytime soon. During my last visit, I plummeted 7 stories in an elevator. When an elevator says "max 7 people," trust me, it means 7 people... and not 7 fat Americans.

I didn't spend any time in Lagos when I visited.. I headed out of town from the airport to the minibus park. Coming back I spent a night in the Ibis hotel near the airport... a fine hotel and cheaper than most ($180) other chains or hotels on VI. There is also the 'old' Ibis hotel next door for about 1/3 the price.
