Chicago Pizza Recommendations

I will be in downtown Chicago (based around Amtrak station) on Thursday 10/20 awaiting my night time departure on the train.

I would like to try a classic pizza while in Chicago and have about 8 hours (11 AM till 6 PM) to do it. What are the names and nearby locations of some of Chicago's better pizza pies?

Thanks!

I would recommend Pizzeria Due. This place makes great Chicago style pizza! ^

Post a thread in CommunityBuzz for lunch or lunch/dinner. There are some great Chicago based FTers that might be willing to join you. ^

Agreed! Pizzeria Due is currently serving the best deep dish in Chicago.

I have to give a third vote for Pizzeria Due. Love that place for deep dish. Mmmm, good. My definite favorite, hands down.

A little after the fact, but I can't imagine why RobotDoctor didn't recommend the pepperoni and spinach pie!

This is obviously after the fact, but I'm going to put in a vote for Giordano's - I've been to both the Rush/Superior and Prudential Plaza locations. Excellent deep-dish with sausage!

Technically speaking, Giordano's is not "deep dish." It's "stuffed." They aren't the same things. Next time you're in town, let us know and we'll help you complete your Chicago pizza education by taking you to Gino's East, Lou Malnati's or Pizzerias Uno or Due!
