Good move on their part. I hope they update their gate areas with actual TVs as signage and better seats.

Will they still be using A8, 10, and 12? I saw Spirit is only on A2 now.

Good question, but I'm not sure. I know they occasionally have used a few common-use gates on A (A7 & A9-for international arrivals). Their gate areas certainly could use some sprucing up and modernizing as you say, but F9 is notoriously cheap, so if they don't have to spend money, they won't!

Sun Country is finally starting service to MSP, albeit 4 years late! Interestingly, it is only seasonal, so I guess it doesn't have anything to do with Sherwin-Willaims' connections to Minneapolis. I just booked a $38 r/t on SY in July to try them out. F9 is also restarting CLE-MSP service. Let's see how DL responds.

BTW, I learned in the past year that MSP Terminal 2 is somewhere south of the Iowa border. At least it seems like it. I booked a one-way from Rhinelander, WI to MSP on Delta, and then an MSP-SFO flight on Sun Country from there. It's a good thing I had about 2.5 hours between flights, because it's quite a journey from Terminal 1 to Terminal 2 at MSP. Lots of walking, a tram, and then one stop on the light rail system, which runs about once every half-hour.

Airlines agree to pay for first phase of Cleveland Hopkins terminal rebuild

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Cleveland Hopkins International Airport has reached an agreement with its airlines to fund the initial phase of a massive terminal redevelopment project, set to begin in 2025.

The airport, in a press release, said the airlines doing business at Hopkins have unanimously agreed to fund the $175 million first phase of the project, which eventually will include expanded ticketing and gate areas, new customs and security areas, more parking and better roadway access to the aging facility.

Ultimately, the airlines are expected to fund the bulk of the project, which could cost as much as $3 billion or more over the next 10 years, according to projections.

anybody collect anything during the public auction of furnishings from the Sheraton? saw the sign on the barrier fence the other week. they didn’t specify whether you had to accept the risk of inheriting the diseases, vermin, etc. with your purchase. if anyone has insight on who bought anything from there, let me know so i establish a 5 mile perimeter around wherever it is.

I hear they will take over all the even gates on A so, A2, A6, A8, and A10. They will also continue to utilize common-use gates like A12, which is actually a city gate, along with A9 for international operations. Spirit will move to A1.

The new Frontier routes from CLE are MSP, LGA, AUS, IAH, CHS , MSY, SAV, SLC, JAX, MYR, PNS, BWI. Intro fares are $19.00. Not sure about frequency many routes they fly are 3 days a week.
Spirit will be cutting LAS and MIA and TPA. I hope UA keeps TPA was to be only seasonal looks like it’s doing good

Not quite. Those are the ONLY routes they are keeping from CLE, down from a max of 12 cities. I guess F9 won the ULCC battle at CLE.

On the CLE departure board today is a Sun Country 8236 departure to Bullhead City, AZ. Special charter?

United is doing very good on Florida routes more than doubled. Flights this winter. Flights were very full. Added PHX and LAS this spring did that a few years back.
