Any recommendation for hotels in the Georgetown area in DC for a one night business trip? As much as I'd like to stay at the 4 Seasons, my boss won't spring for it. Anything under $300 might fly.
Thanks in advance.

If you want to be relatively frugal, stay at the Marriott Key Bridge in Arlington. It's a short walk across the bridge to the restaurants along M St.

In Georgetown:
Four Seasons and Ritz-Carlton Georgetown are the expensive choices
Lathams
Georgetown Inn (or Georgetown Dutch Inn???)
Georgetown Suites
Holiday Inn Georgetown (is a little bit up Wisconsin Avenue more than in the heart of Georgetown by M Street NW and/or K Street/Washington Harbor)
There is also some kind of conference center hotel at Georgetown University.
Lathams has a good (and also one of DC's most expensive) restaurants right outside the door called Citronelle. (It used to be part of the hotel, but the current chef has grown the distance physically and otherwise -- to the benefit of the restaurant patrons.)
If you don't mind a 6- to 12-minute walk from across Key Bridge leading into Georgetown, then Rosslyn, VA has:
Key Bridge Marriott
Hyatt Arlington (in Rosslyn)
Residence Inn Rosslyn
Courtyard Marriott Rosslyn
Oakwood Rosslyn (I don't know if they do nightly rooms or not, since they are now focused on long-term furnished apartments)
Holiday Inn
Best Western
If you don't mind a 6- to 12-minute walk to Georgetown from (closer to) the Foggy Bottom area, there is Melrose (which used to be the Wyndham hotel there) or the George Washington University Inn hotel. There are also a few other hotels around Foggy Bottom and Farragut West/Mcpherson Square/DuPont that are within a longer walking distance or a short cab ride.

I think the Ritz is your best bet IN Georgetown. But, if that's too $$$, try the Westin Grand on M and 23rd-ish. It's just a few blocks farther than the FS from central GTown, and very nice (and very moderately priced).
I strongly advise AGAINST the Marriott Key Bridge. It's perhaps one of the most poorly maintained and poorly run Marriotts I've ever seen.
