PVR to Mismaloya Area

Hotel quoted me $150 USD one-way from PVR airport to the hotel. I've heard that taxis are around $25 to $30 one-way.

Any other options? Thank you.

You will be going to Zone 3 South as per official (white) Federal Taxis from the airport. Cost for sedan car (1-3 people) is 457p or about $23 USD.

Website aeromovilpvr(dot)com shows the taxi chart. It "should" be the latest, if any difference it should not be more than 100/200p or $5/10 USD.

Keep going thru the airport after customs, don't talk to anyone in the timeshare gauntlet (no, gracias suffices) until you get outside. Chart is posted outside and taxis will be lined up.

Depending on traffic it is about 45-60 minute ride.

Once in Mismaloya the local yellow taxis will be your go-to if you head into Vallarta or to Botonical Gardens etc. Also a yellow taxi will take you back to the airport, I cannot guess at that charge (tho I live in Vallarta but not Mismaloya) but it will be less than the white Federal taxi that took you down.

Enjoy your trip !

Not aware of the fare, but I've reliably used Uber in PVR.

"In PVR" ?????

Uber is not allowed to pick up at PVR (the airport code). If one is very familiar with PVR property and surroundings, an Uber can pick you up after exiting PVR property, which is Federal land, either by crossing va a steep bridge the busy main N/S road or walking to a nearby hotel. Then you set up your Uber (cannot do in advance) and wait for Uber to arrive. Uber knows the zones and fares, so they may come in a few pesos only cheaper from the airport area. By the time you walked then waited you could be 20-30 minutes down the road to your destination.

Hence, Federal taxis only from PVR.

Shuttles such as the OP first asked about can enter, they have to file with Federal authorities at the latest 24 hours before intended pickup to receive permission.

Puerto Vallarta certainly has reliable Ubers I use them all the time. Is that what you meant, "in Puerto Vallarta" not "in PVR" ?

Mismaloya probably has Uber availability, hopefully the OP can report back if Uber is used.

Correct. You must walk to the main road and turn left a few metres, towards the Holiday Inn Express, to skirt this obstacle.
