Safe to use rate code M11
Is it safe to use the rate code M11 (also in Europe)? Or can I except unpleasant surprises at check-in (higher rates etc.)?
Who can use the M12 rate code, is it just for Platinum members?

Pre-req for using M!! is being an MR member (sign-in required when booking).
M12 eligibility is Platinum MR members only. (my guess is that a non-Plat will be blocked.)
Only caution,is that M11 M12, under the letter of the rules rules cannot be combined with other offers

I've never had any issues using the M11 code and wouldn't expect that anyone would. But it is always a good idea to print out your reservation info just in case the hotel has "problems".
As far as the M12 code goes, I have to admit that I'm not a rate expert, but I don't remember it just being for Plats only. I would suggest looking at the rate details when you are making your reservation. As long as the rate details don't mention "Plats only", any Marriott elite member should be able to use it.

I've used M11 and M12 quite a bit (I'm Plat.). The only "problem" I had is that they wouldn't take my Bonus Bucks on that rate...

I have yet to find an instance where the M12 code gets me a better rate than M11.

Assuming the code is valid for the location at the time of booking for reauested stay dates...

The Reservation Code Sticky (Post #1) includess the following
information:
1. Confirming the Biggerguy's post-
"M11 Marriott Rewards Member Offers"
M12 Marriott Rewards Elite Offers"
2. Also contained within the sticky is the following:
"E0P E0G E0S (Zero's folks) - elite promo codes"
Seems obvious that "EOP" stands for "Elite Offer Platinum" (and so on).
Does anyone have an idea as to what is being referred to by the term "Zero's folks"?

"Zero's folks" was probably written by the original poster of that part of the sticky to tell readers that the second character in the elite codes is a zero and not a capital o.

VA1379 is correct. The comment is meant to make sure that the 2nd character is a '0' rather than the letter O.

One of them being taking the word "Zero's" literally as a possesive.
Tried my damndest to recall (with no luck, of course) if there ever was a poster with a moniker "Zero"
