Just for the record both of the hotels noted above DO have Concierge/Club lounges - perhaps the lounge was closed for some reason during your visit

The JW's lounge is a little smaller and a little nicer than the Marriott's lounge. A lot less convention hustle and bustle.

As it turns out, after checking with both hotels today (11/26/2007), both lounges were closed when I last stayed at those hotels. I could not nail down the reopen date for the JW, but the Pere Marquette informed me that the concierge/exec lounge reopened approximately 2-3 months ago after being closed for almost two years!

Please forgive my understandable lapse of information! This would be why I got breakfast coupons for both hotels, during two different stays at the JW Marriott, and for one stay at the Pere Marquette, and would explain why I believed that those hotels did not have CLs.
