Yes, I agree, much easier, and also much easier in Firefox than in IE. But did anyone have the problem that I had last night with not being able to sign into FlyerTalk for about two hours? I could not even get the webpage to come up for that entire time!

I have encountered the same situation on my award stays that I have certificates issued for already. My other problem is under unused certificates it shows nothing but when I spoke to them on the phone today they said they see my certificates I ordered and "attached them to my reservations but no changes so far.

I also have the different nights stayed situation you are experiencing and it is off 15 nights also and I do have the Marriott Premier Visa.

I tried logging in with my email address (after all, it does say email address or rewards number) only to be presented with a message that says that I can't use my email address. Uhh, that would be a problem. (I'm too lazy to stand up and grab my card to find my number.)

After a few phone calls today, I've been told that the website does not yet understand attachment of Travel Packages, and even though I have two confirmatory emails showing the Travel Packages attached to the reservations, the website still claims e-certificates are required. The attached Travel Packages have disappeared from the list of unused certificates though.

Curiously, in the process, one of the Travel Packages mutated into a Partial/Half Travel Package (091 -> 091H). I was told this was because the certificate had been extended, presumably this was done by a hamfisted rep whilst trying to attach it (they do not seem very good at this yet) as it did not need extending!

They ran out of blue ink, therefore you were not allowed to log in... :D

I had gifted a certificate in the name of a person who is joining us on a vacation to Mexico, but is flying out of Ohare on a very early flight later in the week. Given I was going to be out of the country, I had the Marriott Rewards category certificate put in her name and have a paper certificate for her. The reservation, in her name, used to show up online and it said it could not be changed or modified online and that MR had to be contacted to make reservations changes or cancellations. Tonight, it is telling me an e-certificate has not been ordered and will be auto-ordered soon, if I don't modify or cancel the reservation. I already have a paper certificate that I've already purchased with points, in my possession. It no longer says the reservation can only be modified or cancelled by calling MR's 800 number. Of course MR is not open at this hour. The reservations desk indicated to me it was a problem with the website and referred me to online support. Online support said it was a reservation made over the phone and therefore didn't involve them leaving him with only view access to the reservation, so they couldn't help. He referred me back to Marriott Rewards.
I'm sure this saga is to be continued.

I tried red too, but evidently they'd used all of that up already on your red ... first, so I was totally out of luck!

First time I tried to login, it asked me to confirm my e-mail address. I received an e-mail and since then I can log in with my e-mail address (not sure if that is mandatory to login with your e-mail address, though)

I get this...After I log-in with my email or MR#, I cannot log-out, I have to completely reset my browser. Or sometimes I get this...When I try to log-in it says that my password is invalid!? What the ????. Never had a problem with Marriott.com before the new changes. I'm using an iMac with a Safari browser. I don't have this problem with my Dell computer at work. Ah well...

No, you are supposed to be able to log in with EITHER your e-mail address OR your MR number. I guess there are still quite a few bugs for Marriott to work out! :td: :(

Current Membership Level Nights Credited Toward Elite Membership Additional Nights Needed to Renew Nights Needed to Achieve Next Level
Platinum Total Nights 87 3 0

PS NEW WEBSITE SUCKS

Make a printout and send it to Marriott. Tell them that you qualify for Platinum, based on the website. ;)

Just out of curiosity, what did your profile say before they switched to the new website? Did it show Plat there, or that you still needed nights earned to make it to Plat?

Correct. Now that I've logged in successfully using my MR number, I still can't log in with my email address.

Chris please pass along these problems to your IT folks. I spoke with Platinum Guest Services, Reservations and Internet Support. The first two were of no help; Guest Services didn't even have a number for Internet support. The person I spoke with at Internet Support provided the pat answer "delete your cookies" and was not at all interested in taking a trouble report so IT could fix the problem. I asked to speak with her supervisor and she said her supervisor was not there and took my name and number and asked what her supervisor should do. Geez! I asked her to ask her supervisor to contact me at the phone number I provided. She said they don't call people, they only email.

I then called Mr. Marriott's office and spoke with a nice lady there who was able to provide me the phone number of a former coworker who heads up you IT performance area. I called him and left a message for him to give me a call. Ironically, when we worked together I headed up the IV&V testing for our software products.

I believe that the correct person/office you should contact is Marriott's Office of Communications Operations Technology. Vice President of Communications Technology is Lou Paladeau, and he is a very nice and cooperative guy. He is not always easy to reach though, since he is often on the road around the world, as you might imagine. Good luck!
