Just to be sure I understand your question, I am going to restate it.

You booked two rooms (at separate times) using Marriott Rewards points under your name at the Ritz, and are wondering if there will be any issues with having two rooms under the same name in the same hotel on one night?

The answer is no, there is no issues with having two rooms reserved with MR points under the same name. I've done it a few times when "treating" friends to a few nights on what are otherwise backpacking vacations. Not a concern.

As Rahmanbar stated, however, you may want to call the hotel and ensure that both rooms are reserved, just to ensure that there isn't any confusion upon check in.

Hope this helps.

Please tell me this won't be a problem. I'll be mortified if there is even the slightest hassel at the front desk.

Something that I have done MANY times before. Make both reservations in your own name, either for dollars or for points, does not matter. Since you will both be checking in at the same time, it clearly will not be an issue. Your name will stay on both reservations, but your parents room will have three names on it, yours, your mothers, and your fathers, all coexisting on the same "folio." When you all check out, you pay for whatever bill there is with your credit card, and if you wish to "settle up" with your parents then have them write you a check. I had three rooms reserved in my name at the Renaissance Scottsdale Resort, and when we arrived, I added my mother's name to one, and my brother's name to another, and left my name on all three. We were there for a family funeral, and I am always the one in my family who handles logistics, especially travel. When we left, I paid for all three with my credit card, and a week later, a check came in the mail from my mother for her portion. Bottom line, don't panic, and act as if you have done this before, and you belong there, and you will not likely be questioned. However, if you seem nervous about the whole thing, the front desk clerk will possibly pick up on that and start asking questions that you will not want to answer, or have the answers to.
