I'm two short and live in the DC area. I will be booking M11 at the Dulles Marriott and using a $100 bonus bucks coupon. I get a $100 bonus bucks coupon upon checkout. Total cost after taxes less than $79. With a later expiring bonus bucks to boot.

Definitely can't help you with your living in DC problem, but I did see an episode of the Addams Family where they used a "Rack" to help the short problem. :p

I'm in a similar situation...need 3 more nights this year to gain platinum status...would hate to lose the chance.

I found a cheaper rate at the Westfields Marriott from Dec 23 to Jan 2. It is $69 with the M11 Bonus Buck code.

Awesome tip! That will save me $26 for a 2 night mattress run. Net cost of $50.42 after the $100 bonus bucks; $25.21/night.

I have 72 nights this year, and need 3 more to reach platinum. Are you telling me I dont have to complete 75 nights by the end of this year and the nights that I have done so far will rollover?

For initial qualification, Marriott does a rolling year. So your nights will carry over and be dropped off as the year progresses. This is an unpublished feature.

Yes, to reach the next higher elite level, Marriott will track your nights on a rolling year basis. And a nice benefit of this is that you will receive the higher elite status (Platinum in your case) for the rest of the year you reached it plus all the next year.

By phone, this info received (haven't been to either property yet):
Westfields Marriott Washington Dulles, Chantilly, VA:
No lounge, free breakfast everyday for gold and platinum elites.

As GrizShel mentioned in the concierge lounge thread, Westfields has no lounge, but they give free breakfast everyday to gold and platinum members.

For those needing only one night the M11 rate at mid-atlantic Marriotts is giving $50 bonus buck for one night with rates like the $79 Marriott Dulles available.
