Repeat Guest Survey?
So I just checked into this Marriott for the 3rd time in 3 weeks. Shortly after, an envelope was slipped under my door. It's a "Repeat Guest Survey".
There's a section on name & contact info, all of which they should be able to get from my MR account. There's a section on room preferences, ditto; I can specify a preferred room by number, but I don't really have one yet. (My preference would be anything on the concierge floor, but I'm now 0 for 3 on the upgrade). And there's a section for personal stuff (b-day, wife's name, favorite beverages, sports teams).
Is it worth it to fill this out? I don't care if they send me a b-day card. Will they leave a drink for me in my room (note - it's Utah). Anything else to be gained?

Well, no replies here, so we'll see what happens. I went ahead and filled it out, along with a shameless comment pointing out that this week's stay would give me 75 nights this year, and what better way to celebrate Plat than with an all-too-elusive upgrade to the club floor when I check back in Monday.
And I'm sure my top floor room will be well stocked with complimentary nuts (my snack of choice) and Absolut (my beverage of choice).

Well, shortly after I checked in this week, they showed up at the door with a tray to thank me for my continued patronage on this my 10th stay. (Note, this is actually stay #7 for me).
On the tray was cheese & crackers (perhaps an additional choice I'd specified?) and 2 cans of my preferred non-alcoholic beverage, Club Soda. The cheese looked like what I can get any evening for free in the Club lounge, BTW.
No NY Jets paraphanalia, and no vodka. But still a nice gesture.

It's good you filled the survey out. You know, I'm in the top 50 guests at the Marriott RenCen in Detroit. I have been asking for a suite upgrade for the last 3 years almost every week. While I've never gotten the typical suite upgrade, I have gotten a nice gesture of upgrading me to a huge party room but I would love to get a regular suite. I guess it is luck of the draw. However, I can't believe you have not been able to get into the Club Level rooms. Is it the case that the rooms you get are actually upgraded rooms and you get Cong. Lounge access (thats what I get at my usual Detroit hotel). That might be the case and then they sell the rooms on the Con. Lounge level for a premium.

As a Gold (which I was when I did the OP), I was 0 for 3.
As a transition (had my 75th night, not credited to MR yet, but maybe the hotel could see it), I got the club floor. Or maybe my shameless comment worked.
As a Plat, now 3 for 4 getting the club floor, although usually that seems to mean forgoing my preferred King for 2 doubles.
