Happened a while ago to me--the Platinum Line offered me an extra 1,000 points, which seemed pretty fair. I actually always take the gift because I have been told that a number of employees (primarily not at full service Marriott's) don't know how to process the points. Mike |
I almost always take the points and have had very few not post automatically. At this point, employees seem to know how to handle it.

Since I started this thread, I thought I'd give you all an update...
Three weeks ago I was at the JW in Rio...no Plat gift. Next day I was $265 Brazilian Reaz richer. On Mon I checked into the Costa Mesa M Suites. No gift. On Tues I got ANOTHER $100. So, who wants to travel with me? The line starts at the bar... :D Mike |

Congratulations. Quick question, when you check in, do you always check off the plat gift opposed to the points when presented with the choice? Dash |
Dash,
I am a self-proclaimed points & miles whore. I don't drink much on the road & they can keep the 15 cents worth of cheese & crackers. Points, just give me the points. Mike |
