Marriott Visa Double Points Promo
Just got this in the mail.
Register to use your marriott visa and for every purchase you make at marriott locations Nov 15 thru Feb 15 2005 you get double points (ie 6 pts). You can register at www.marriottrewards.com/visadoublepoints Don't know if it's targetted. Worth a try... :) |

Followed the Link BUT
I tried the link and used my Marriott #. "Your account number is not part of this exclusive promotion". Used my wife's and she got registered. "Simply use your Marriott Rewards Visa Card". I got her a card awhile ago and only used it to get the signup bonus. Never used since then.
With the AMEX Promo (And ?? unknown/month) will only be using the AMEX thru January. I just wonder what whould happen if I reserved under her Marriott account and used MY Visa card to pay. I am guessing that she would not get the double bonus. |
The offer doesn't end until Feb 15, so perhaps you can use her card after the Amex promo is over? Not much, but won't hurt.

According to my information, the points should post 8-10 weeks following the end of the promotion. Thanks, Chris |
got double points for first month (posted already!) but NOT second month. For 2nd it posted a bonus but it was not double

Under separate header (se below) , cna't make sense of this if it was supposed to be double points. I used the Marriott visa exclusively just to get the double points, now it doesn't come through on the second month (Jan)- bummer!
