Viewing res defaults to modify now?
Just noticed this starting to happen a day ago... if I go to view any of my upcoming reservations on the Marriott website, it jumps to the change/modify reservation page. The only way I can get to actually view my res detail is to 'cancel' my changes to the reservation, even though I never made any changes in the first place.
Happening on multiple computers, so seems like they broke something with the website again. Anyone else getting this? |
I see what you mean. Was just trying to view my reservation rate rules and had trouble finding a way to do so since I get directed to the change screen first all the time
|
I'm facing the same issue. Tried on multiple browsers/computers.

Marriott IT at its best once again. Workaround:

"View/Modify" Reservation going straight to modify
Has anyone else noticed that "View/Modify" reservations does not go to the view screen? I've tested this on different browsers with the same result.
I was trying to change credit cards on upcoming stays, which has been accessible from the upper right had corner of the View Screen. Short of calling the hotel, or changing the card at check-in, how does one change the credit card for an upcoming stay? Maybe I'm having a brain-fart, but I just don't see any online method. |

Also, I mentioned this apparent IT issue to the CSR who took my call, but she just seemed to shrug it off. I am surprised that it is still a problem. |
Yes, I started a thread here the other day as well http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/marri...odify-now.html
Perhaps mods can merge them. |

Sorry, I did not see this thread though my limited search efforts. |
Seems to be corrected at last. I wonder why it took so long.

I am having the same problem. It has been going on for a few days for me.

I called Customer Care today about this issue; the woman I spoke with told me it was the first call she's recieved about this, and eventually i had to be escalated to her supervisor's supervisor.. I was told that it's an issue that they are working on correcting, but in the meantime the way that you can see your reservation info (and you dont need to log out) is:
-- Click on 'My Reservations' (My Trips) -- Click on the Confirmation # hyperlink (in blue) -- Scroll down slightly to the box that says 'Cancel Changes' (showing up as a gray box for me), and click on it -- On the next screen, you should see the question 'Are you sure you want to cancel all changes to your reservation?'... Click Yes -- The next screen should show you all of your reservation info as we were used to seeing prior to the website "improvements" In addition, if using the Marriott app-- it seems to be unchanged in re to seeing your reservation info as before. Hope this helps(!) |
Very annoying. Almost as bad as having to login to even search (if you've got previous sign in cookies).

Another workaround
From a PC, Mac or suitable device:

The problem may have been fixed, I don't see it happening any more.
As they said in Office Space, "We fixed the glitch". |
Finally.
