Marriott Rewards - points not posting
I am a Marriott Gold elite, and I have to stay at the same Marriott property every week for 2 nights. On every stay I opt out of housekeeping with the app and door handle sign - but the 500 extra points never post (all regular and elite bonus points do show up). Is this a problem specific to this one hotel, or is it more widespread in the system? Is there anything to be done about this? It's a real pain calling Marriott Rewards/the hotel all the time to complain...

I just started doing this because I dont like maids in my room bla bla bla. At one hotel (Renascence Tel Aviv), they slip a 'I didnt make up your room card) under the door. I had to show the front desk the cards to get the points. |
Sounds like a problem with the hotel. I usually get the bonus points for declining housekeeping posted correctly, but not always.

Sounds like the hotel to me too. There's a hotel in the US we've stayed at quite a bit, which never posts the points in lieu of weekend breakfast, even though we always verbally confirm it at check-in, and even tried reminding them at checkout.
Hasn't been an issue at any other property for me. |
